Melanie Dickinson is a programmer, designer, researcher, and computer science PhD student at UCSC. She builds expressive AI systems and playable models to tell stories, engage personal meaning, evoke emotion, and connect people.
Johnathan is a computer science researcher, games scholar and musician who is completing a Ph.D. at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has a desire to add unheard voices to the conversation around games, and encourage new game designers from all walks of life.
Heather Logas is a game maker and artist with a passion for teaching game making as a tool for social justice. She has over 10 years experience creating games professionally, and currently works as an experimental game design researcher and lecturer at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Stacey Mason is a writer and researcher of interactive stories, Cota-Robles Fellow in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Community Manager for the IGDA Foundation. Stacey also writes about games and gaming culture and advocates for women in gaming and tech.
